You know you’ve worn out your welcome when the man who not so long ago worshiped you, tells you to throw in the towel.
Historically, the EFF has shared much in common with Zanu PF and particularly its leader Batty Bob Mugabe; but even the red berets seem to know when enough is enough.
Malema took a stab at Mugabe while chatting to the media at the party’s Braamfontein headquarters on Monday‚ following the EFF’s 3rd plenum — yeah, it’s been three years –, but Zim’s ruling party didn’t take too kindly to Juju’s comments.
EWN reports that, in a statement released by the Zim government’s — the term government being used loosely when used in conjunction with either Zanu PF or Zimbabwe — information minister Christopher Mushowe, Malema was branded a ‘Gucci revolutionary who has betrayed the ruling ANC’.
Mushowe added that, while Mugabe’s place in history is assured — not sure if he means as a liberator or the man who killed 20 000 people to ensure his rise to power –, Malema will no doubt be forgotten.
