Limpopo police are investigating a disturbing case of murder and attempted murder at Philadelphia Hospital’s psychiatric ward in Dennilton, Sekhukhune District.

A violent incident unfolded in the early hours of Saturday, 8 March 2025.

According to TimesLive, Provincial police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba confirmed that officers on patrol swiftly responded to an assault report at the hospital.

GRIM DISCOVERY AT THE HOSPITAL

“Upon arrival, they discovered a gruesome crime scene inside a locked room.

A male suspect was found on top of a lifeless male body, covered in blood, and allegedly biting the deceased’s genitals.

The deceased, aged 33, had sustained a gunshot wound to the head, as well as multiple injuries, including missing teeth,” Mashaba said.
