The Pan South African Language Board confirmed that the words written in Xitsonga, ‘Bangikulu’, as reflected on the upgraded banknotes, are accurate and correct.

Experts confirmed that the ‘mistake’ on the new R100 note was correct, and the spelling on the old note was wrong.
