This is what Eric Tinkler wants to improve at Sekhukhune United
After just two games in charge of Sekhukhune United, Eric Tinkler has already identified two areas which he aims to improve on.

Eric Tinkler was recently appointed as the head coach of Sekhukhune United after being sacked from his position as coach of Cape Town City just last month.
Eric Tinkler has managed two games since taking charge at Babina Noko. He won 2-1 away against Marumo Gallants in his first match but lost 2-1 at home to Stellenbosch FC two weeks ago.
Eric Tinkler Has Already Identified Key Improvement Areas
The former Orlando Pirates head coach has highlighted finishing and defending as urgent areas for improvement.
“There is still a lot of work I need to do in terms of the playing style I want. In the final third, I don’t think there’s enough creativity and penetration,” Tinkler spoke.
“Those are the areas we need to work on and the mistakes. In the two games that I’ve been in charge, the three goals [conceded] have come from crosses and we don’t seem to be able to deal with that.
“So, those are areas where we must figure out what the issue is because our defence is not dealing with it and now that we have the FIFA break, we can work on those elements to improve them.
“You want to be competing at the highest level, and you want to be conceding fewer goals, and I think that has been the weakness for the club. Yes, they have been winning matches, but they have been conceding goals” he stated.
Many expressed concern about Eric Tinkler’s appointment, as many believe that his predecessor, Lehlohonolo Seema, was unjustly fired.
The Talent Pool at Sekhukhune United
Babina Noko has assembled a squad very capable of competing in the top four of the league table. Some notable names include Sipho Mbule, Thabang Monare, Keletso Makgalwa, and Linda Mntambo, to name just a few.
“There is a lot of talent here and there is a lot of experience in this team, players who have played at the highest level at big clubs,” Eric Tinkler added.
“Talent is not an issue; it is about building on what they’ve achieved so far and then adding certain elements I think we need to bring into our game to make sure we stay strong and build a credible season moving forward.”
Sekhukhune United is 5th in the Betway Premiership table and has reached the quarterfinals of the Nedbank Cup. Do you think they have what it takes to secure continental football for next season?
