When is Kaizer Chiefs’ next match?

Kaizer Chiefs’ last match was against Mamelodi Sundowns but the Soweto giants will have to wait nearly a month for their next fixture.

Kaizer Chiefs will not have a match for the next three weeks, which will disappoint many fans.

Just when it seemed like the team was regaining their form, the PSL decided not to schedule any matches this weekend due to the MTN8 final. After that, there will be a two-week FIFA break, so Chiefs will only be back in action at the end of October.

Kaizer Chiefs’ next match is against SuperSport United in Polokwane on 26 October at the Peter Mokaba Stadium. This means that the team won’t have a competitive match for a month following their 2-1 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns. However, it seems that both Kaizer Chiefs and Sundowns have agreed to play a friendly match during the break.

Amakhosi coach Nasreddine Nabi said the club will face several teams during the break including Sundowns.

“Definitely, we have scheduled some friendly games and amongst the teams that we are going to face, we do have Mamelodi Sundowns,” Nabi told the media.

“But I don’t understand why the league is stopping. We have just started on the 16th of September. We played only three games and now we stop, guys please.”

Kaizer Chiefs to play unofficial match against Sundowns

Chiefs are sixth in the Betway Premiership having won two of the three matches played so far. Having finished outside the top 8 last season, Amakhosi were not part of the MTN8 competition meaning they only kick off their season mid-September.

With the match against SuperSport three weeks away, Kaizer Chiefs and Nabi have time to improve and recharge once more.
