Masibusane Zongo is one of the many former PSL players who failed to reach their full potential.

The 34-year-old ex-footballer came through the ranks at University of Pretoria but it was at SuperSport United where he made his name. He has memorable stints with Platinum Stars and Bidvest Wits however discipline let him down.

Although he made a name for himself in the PSL, Zongo has spent most of his football career playing in lowe leagues.

Which team does Masibusane Zongo play for now?

In December 2013, it was announced that the ex-Platinum Stars winger had joined Limpopo ABC Motsepe League side Munaca FC after spending four months with Oriented Birds.

“Honestly, it’s the amazing God that I praise,” he said in December 2023 as per FARPost.

“I come from a family that believes in God, which is my Mother and sister. We pray so much at home and when it comes to the football industry. There are positives that come from not playing. How to see life outside of football. I grew up in the football industry since I was 11 years old.”

Masibusane Zongo only lasted two months with the ABC Motsepe League before being dismissed for disciplinary issues. Since then, the 34-year-old has been without a club and it seems his football career has all but ended.

Did Zongo drink his career?
