TS Galaxy, Ramovic demand R1.25 million from Rulani for ‘injury to dignity’!
TS Galaxy are demanding R1 million while Ramovic is seeking R250K from Rulani for ‘injury to dignity’ after he failed to apologise to them.
TS Galaxy and their coach Sead Ramovic are suing Mamelodi Sundowns mentor Rulani Mokwena R1.25 million for ‘injury to dignity’.
This is according to Court papers filed by both TS Galaxy and Ramovic at the Johannesburg High Court as shared by SABC Sport reporter Mazola Molefe.
This is in relation to the remarks dubbed as accusations made by Mokwena on 29 April that TS Galaxy players ham intentionally injured Bongani Zungu.
And that’s what broke the back off the camel as the club together with Ramovic took exception to Mokwena’s comments and demanded him to offer public apology.
However, Mokwena ignored that request, and TS Galaxy and Ramovic took legal action against him as reported by The South African this week.

THE BACKGROUND TO THE WHOLE SAGA…
This whole saga between Ramovic and Mokwena started when TS Galaxy beat Sundowns in the Carling Knockout Cup in October 2023.
Sundowns had to play a depleted squad as they were gearing up for the African Football League (AFL) that very same week.
What happened is Ramovic felt Mokwena made an excuse for losing to TS Galaxy with all the stars he has at his disposal at Sundowns.
“We don’t want to find excuses such as the other coaches do [when they lose]. For example, when we won against Sundowns, what were the excuses from the [opposition] coach. He tried to find excuses because he could not play seven players. But he also disrespected his own team and players. If he says he cannot win with the players they have, the team they played against us can win the league. They are top players. It means we did a fantastic job,” said Ramovic at the time.
“He didn’t play with seven players, so where is the respect for the players who played? They bought international players such as Marcelo Allende who they paid R60 million and then they bought the guy, Junior Mendieta, from Stellenbosch for how much – R12 million?
“A strong coach will not find an excuse. He will say, ‘fantastic job from Galaxy, they had a fantastic game plan and they beat us, and we show respect for what they did’.”
This when Mokwena picked up his phone and called Ramovic to express his displeasure which the TS Galaxy said they were insults.
