Grobler opened the scoring for SuperSport United but Kabelo Mahlasela equalised for Royal AM as both teams played to a 1-1 draw in Chartsworth.

Now, with his goal, Grobler moved to 99 goals, meaning he needs just one goal in the remaining matches of the season reach a century of goals.

At some point, Grobler was tied on 97 goals with Kaizer Chiefs talisman Khama Billiat but the latter has been playing due to a long-term injury.

It is now a given that Grobler will reach 100 goals before Billiat who’s only expected to return from injury next season.

Should Grobler get to the 100-goal mark, he would then look to break Collins Mbesuma’s record of 103 goals in the PSL.
