On Thursday, MaMkhize pulled off a major surprised as she confirmed the acquisition of Ricardo Nascimento.
MaMkhize took to Royal AM’s social media platforms to unveil Nascimento as their new player ahead of their Nedbank Cup clash with Cape Town City this weekend.

NASCIMENTO BECOMES A ROYAL AM PLAYER
“I have yet another surprise for you. I’m trying to make sure that Royal AM is strengthened,” said MaMkhize.
“I started with the wingers, I went to the strikers and now I’m coming to the core, strengthening my defence… Nascimento,” she added.
ROYAL AM SEIZED THE OPPORTUNITY WITH NASCIMENTO ACQUISITION
Nascimento’s acquisition is a major coup for Royal AM who took advantage of Sundowns’ rather shocking decision to let him go.

The Brazilians found themselves against the ropes with their foreign quota after signing Bolivian midfielder Mario Saavedra in January.
Sundowns had already exhausted their foreign quota for the campaign, and had to sacrifice at least one foreign international to accommodate Saavedra.

Nascimento, 35, became that sacrifice as he was let go after rejecting an offer to stay at Sundowns in a different capacity.
And the Brazilian centre-back will now get his wish of continuing to play football for the next season or two as confirmed by Sundowns co-coach Rhulani Mokwena.
