Orlando Pirates eyeing Cape Town gem with HUGE POTENIAL!

Orlando Pirates could do with this guy’s magic. He’s a proven baller steeped with PSL experience.

Orlando Pirates made no signings in the summer but are hopeful to not repeat that feat in the winter.

They had their sights set on Polokwane pair Oswin Appollis and Thabang Matuludi in January, but months of negotiations led to nothing. Their pursuit of the duo arguably distracted them from securing other signings, such as Jaedin Rhodes.

The former PSL Young Player of the Year is another signing Orlando Pirates squandered in January, and like Appollis, will attempt to lure in the offseason.

Rhodes interest confirmed

At just 21 years old, Rhodes has 74 top-flight appearances under his belt, suggesting that the sky is the limit for the Cape Town City maestro, who has several years to uncover his true potential.

Orlando Pirates will undoubtedly want him for the future, and the upcoming window might be their last chance before someone else realises Rhodes is a superstar in the making:

“He (Rhodes) has been one of their (Orlando Pirates’) targets for some time now,” SoccerLaduma reported.

“They have been monitoring him though there hasn’t been much happening. They were targeting him for the January transfer window period,

“Now that it didn’t happen they have more time to work on it and will see what happens in the next window. But they are interested in him. That I can tell you,

Another credible source said, “obviously, they (Pirates) will either loan some out or release some as well. But that’s the time they need to work on their squad and since it didn’t happen in January then they will work on it in the off season. Rhodes is one player on that list already.“

Should Orlando Pirates try sign Rhodes?
