Orlando Pirates supporters hoping Chiefs won’t do them ‘dirty’
Orlando Pirates supporters will unite with Kaizer Chiefs this weekend. If anyone is to take points from Downs, it’s ‘Khosi 4 life’.

Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs supporters will unite on Saturday when Mamelodi Sundowns host Amakhosi at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
The Brazilians are 15 points clear of second place Pirates in the Betway Premiership, although the Buccaneers have two games in hand. The league title looked like it was in the balance a month ago but Downs’ form has seen them open a 15-point gap within weeks.
As Sundowns prepares for their 20th league match of the season against Kaizer Chiefs, their rivals Orlando Pirates to the Free State to face Marumo Gallants. The good thing for the Sea Robbers is that their match will be played shortly after the Chiefs/Sundowns match concludes. Irrespective of the results in Atteridgeville, Jose Riverio’s men need a win in Bloemfontein on Saturday night.
Why are Orlando Pirates supporters pinning their hopes in Kaizer Chiefs?
Sundowns have lost just one of their last 15 league matches, securing 42 points in the process. The Buccaneers don’t even have 42 points with 15 matches played and will need Masandawana to drop points regularly to stand a chance of winning their first PSL league title in 13 years.
Amakhosi are the only team that may cause problems for the Brazilians besides Pirates. Although the Naturena-based outfit lost twice to Downs, they have shown that on their day they can match any PSL team pound for pound. Although a win seems unlikely, a draw might feel like a win for both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates supporters.
Chiefs are unlikely to beat Sundowns
The Bucs faithful will be more invested in the Chiefs/Sundowns match than their team this Saturday. Amakhosi are currently eight on the log and need points to compete for the top 8 spot.
Orlando Pirates supporters will celebrate regardless and here’s why
Whether Chiefs win or lose, Bucs supporters will laugh at one of the losers. A draw will be a fair result but will benefit Sundowns more given they will extend their lead until Pirates take on Gallants.
