Mabena enjoyed a largely successful stint at the club between 2009 and 2014.
While Mabena is valued at R6.5 million by Transfermarkt, he’s set join the club as a free agent after parting ways with Royal AM at the beginning of the season.
Mabena finally signs for Orlando Pirates
According to local publication Citizen, Ndumiso Mabena has penned a short-term deal at the Mayfair club.
“After weeks of training with Orlando Pirates, striker Ndumiso Mabena is said to have been offered a short-term contract and the club will be making an announcement in due course.” a source told the publication.

In other news, a star first team player has extended his contract at the Buccaneers according to reports.

Vincent Pule has been troubled by injuries of late however, none can deny his importance at the club.
The speedy winger has made over 120 appearances since joining Orlando Pirates in 2018 from Bidvest Wits.
Pule has scored 22 goals for Pirates while registering a further 11 assists.
According to reports, Vincent Pule has signed a long-term contract extension at the Mayfair based side.

“According to reliable sources, Pule signed an extension on his current deal that was set to expire at the end of the 2022/23 season.” a SABC SPORT report read.
“Although it is believed Orlando Pirates were anyway expected to trigger an option they had in the contract.
“Vincent Pule has committed his future to the club after putting pen to paper on a new long-term contract.”
