Pirates slap price tag on Saleng & explore Kimvuidi transfer
Orlando Pirates may be flying high in the PSL but could soon loose one of their brightest stars. Your move Buccaneers.

Orlando Pirates are soaring in Africa, sitting second in the PSL and recently qualifying for the Champions League quarter finals.
Amid their resurgence is a fog of uncertainty connected to the future of Monnapule Saleng.
The Pacey winger was pivotal to the Buccaneer’s early season MTN8 Cup success with two goals in four games but hasn’t featured since November 5, coming off the bench against Richards Bay in the 74th minute.
There’s been no concrete reasoning for Saleng’s two-month absence, which has been vaguely linked to ‘personal reasons’.
However, after remaining seated during Orlando Pirates Champions League celebrations against Stade d’Abidjan, it’s believed there’s more to the story being told.
According to reports, Orlando Pirates have placed a R15 million tag on the dynamic forward if he chooses to leave.
“Saleng has also been accused of being a divisive figure with his punctuality in the weeks leading up to his return to the (Pirates) XI when they faced Al Ahly,” a source confirmed.
“However, he has since returned to the stands and separate sources have stated that should clubs be interested, his price tag would be in excess of R15 million,”
Loan deal for Kimvuidi?
Another forgotten Orlando Pirates man is youngster Karim Kimvuidi, who has struggled to solidify a starting role at the club.
The Buccaneers are exploring options to loan the 22-year-old in an attempt to expose him to more top flight soccer.
“It’s like this because they don’t want him to just sit on the bench or in stands for a long time,” said SoccerLaduma.
“He is still young and he needs to keep on playing and a loan move would give him that chance. No, I can’t say there is a team but Pirates want to loan him out so that he gets more game-time.
“At the moment, they wouldn’t want to sell him permanently. It’s just to give him more game-time. He has one and half years still on his contract and they can’t just let him go like that. After all, you should know that he is still young and he has a great future ahead of him and that’s why they invested in and the loan move would help him grow as a player.”
Should Orlando Pirates try keep Saleng?
