Orlando Pirates bidding for proven PSL scorer!

Orlando Pirates are eyeing one of the PSL’s most exciting young talents. However, there’s still some work to do.

Orlando Pirates are upping the ante in their pursuit of Richards Bay forward Yanela Mbuthuma.

However, according to reports, the Buccanneers will struggle to sign the centre-forward before the summer window closes amid Richards Bay’s fight for survival, insinuating that allowing Mbuthuma to leave mid-way through the season is out of the question.

“But it will be difficult to get the player now in January as Richards Bay are having plans of their own about him,” SoccerLaduma stated.

“He is in the plans for the club in the fight against relegation. The club is unlikely to entertain any offers for the boy at this stage.”

Brandon Truter’s side are lingering a point above the relegation zone and will hope their upcoming league game against newcomers Magesi FC provides them the cushion they need.

Kimvuidi on the way out?

According to reports, DR Congo’s Karim Kimvuidi is keen on a move from Orlando Pirates as he looks to cement a starting role.

The Buccaneers are only open to loaning the 22-year-old, who is persistent about a move outside the PSL. Several African clubs are monitoring the attacking midfielder.

“Kimvuidi is one of those players one might say is unfortunate because despite being so talented he finds himself in an environment where he is competing with stars for a position, and it has been difficult for him to break into the team,” confirmed SL.

“He is a good player who can do very well at any other club but unfortunately, he is limited for game time where he is because of the competition.”

Should Orlando Pirates sign Mbuthuma?
