Orlando Pirates are back in the CAF Champions League and the game is so far away from Soweto.

The Sea Robbers travelled 8,200 km to Cairo, Egypt. The mission is a battle against 12-time African champions Al Ahly on Saturday, 18 January. Kick off will be 18:00 from the Cairo International Stadium.

Speaking to the media after last weekend’s superb 2-1 win over CR Belouizdad in the CAF Champions League, the 35-year-old Makhaula revealed that his relationship with Mbatha in central midfield goes beyond the field of play. “I think he is going far,” Makhaula said on Mbatha via FARPost. ” I’m happy with his progress because he always listens to me,” said the 35-year-old Makhaula.
“Like I said in all the other interviews I have had, we always call each other, check up on each other, and chat about our performances. We also check our games when we were playing for different teams. He is a boy who is very disciplined. When I retire, I want to leave him with a good legacy,” the Orlando Pirates midfielder added.
