Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro has named Mbekezeli Mbokazi among three solutions to replace Thabiso Seasane.

ORLANDO PIRATES LOSE THABISO SESANE

Orlando Pirates may have at least one new winger ahead of next season.

The Sea Robbers have lost a third central defender in one season. First, it was Tapelo Xoki, then Olisa Ndah, before it was Thabiso Sesane’s turn to suffer an injury during the 2-1 win over Sekhukhune United this month.

“It’s time for Tapelo [Xoki], it’s time for Innocent [Maela], time for [Mbekezeli] Mbokazi. It’s time for all players who’re training well they’re pushing and ready to play” the Orlando Pirates coach said via FARPost. “Let’s see because, again, we’re going to play huge amounts of players in the next six weeks, and everybody is going to be necessary,” he added.

ORLANDO PIRATES TARGETING TWO WINGERS

Katlego Otladisa and Gilberto have gone to Sekhukhune United and Petro de Luanda on respective loans until the end of the season, and there is certainly no guarantee that the duo will still have futures at Orlando Pirates.

TSHEPANG MOREMI

The name Tshepang Moremi was initially linked with Kaizer Chiefs since last season before Amakhosi looked to Oswin Appollis and then later Glody Lilepo. According to Soccer Laduma, Orlando Pirates have taken the lead to sign Moremi after the 24-year-old’s two goals and two assists in 18 games so far this season. “As things stand now, we can say Pirates are in the forefront compared to Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs,” the source told the outlet. “They have inquired about his services and things could work out at the end of the season. It will all depend on talks and negotiations whenever they start as it’s still early to say much at the moment.

An additional insider said: “As I have said, it will all depend on the talks and negotiations but it could involve money and player exchange as well. The value of the player and what AmaZulu want from Pirates could also determine the whole deal at the end of the day.”

JAEDIN RHODES

Additionally, the same outlet believes that Orlando Pirates are also following Cape Town City’s Rhodes.
