Orlando Pirates Transfer News: Two Strikers
Betway Premiership giants Orlando Pirates are linked with not one but two strikers in the looming transfer window.
Orlando Pirates strikers like Zakhele Lepasa and Boitumelo Radiopane still face uncertain futures at the Sea Robbers. The Soweto giants are now reportedly linked with two strikers.
MUZOMUHLE KHANYI
Khanyi, 25, first caught the Buccaneers‘ attention during last season’s Nedbank Cup last-16 game against Orlando Pirates.
Formerly an under 20 international and Bidvest Wits academy star, Khanyi scored three goals in Hungry Lions’ 3-2 win over Leruma United in the Motsepe Foundation Championship last weekend. The hat-trick took his tally to 11 goals in 12 matches and duly motivated Orlando Pirates to pursue him.
“Interest is growing for Muzomuhle Khanyi’s services, and an offer could made for him in January,” a source told Soccer Laduma.
“The player’s impressive performances and workrate have caught the attention of a number of clubs, and I can confirm that Pirates are leading the race for his services.
“Sekhukhune United are still also interested in the player, as well as several other clubs. He is the top goalscorer in the Motsepe Foundation Championship League with 11 goals in the 2024/25 season.”
LUNGELO NGUSE ATTRACTS ORLAND PIRATES?

Despite one goal in seven matches for Golden Arrows this season, Nguse has attracted big club due to his relentless work ethic as a pressing striker that creates opportunities for his partners.
According to the Citizen, Orlando PIrates are one of the three big clubs in the race to sign Nguse in January.
“Golden Arrows striker Lungelo Nguse is reportedly being monitored by two of the traditional big three teams in the Betway Premiership,” the outlet said.
“According to a source close to the player, the 25-year-old could secure a big move in the upcoming January transfer window.
“Although the informant didn’t want to divulge the names of the teams vying for Nguse’s signature, Orlando Pirates are believed to be one team that is interested in the menacing attacker to bolster their options upfront.”
