Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has picked his latest squad list with only one Kaizer Chiefs player.

BAFANA BAFANA SQUAD TO FACE LESOTHO AND BENIN

In what is the dream road to the FIFA 2026 World Cup, South Africa will host Lesotho in Polokwane on 17 March before travelling to Benin on the 24th. With six games still to play, Hugo Broos’ side is currently joint-top with Rwanda and Benin in Group C, where the group winners will qualify for the event in the USA and Canada next year.

The Belgian has named 37 players ahead of naming his final 23 next week.

BETWAY PREMIERSHIP: KAIZER CHIEFS VS MAGESI FC

In what is matchday 20 of the season for Amakhosi, Nasreddine Nabi’s side are looking for their first win in three matches. A win for Kaizer Chiefs will only solidify their place in eighth position rather than a move to seventh. Meanwhile, Magesi could move out of the relegation zone to position 12 or 13.

KAIZER CHIEFS COACH CONFIRMS TASHREEQ MORRIS INJURY

As witnessed from the Loftus Versfled last Saturday, Amakhosi’s 30-year-old striker Morris went out injured as early as the 26th minute. Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has since confirmed that Morris will be out for around a week. This means a replacement in the number nine position when Amakhosi take on Magesi FC at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday at 19:30.

“He’s out maybe six, seven days,” Nabi said, when asked by iDiski Times how long Morris will be out for. “I would say that it hurt us a lot because it’s a striker that can give you a lot of things. He’s a good presser. He doesn’t give a lot of rest to the defenders. But after, when he came out, we saw that even the centre-backs were a little bit comfortable with the ball all the time,” the Kaizer Chiefs mentor added.

“He’s as well in a nine classic that can give you, when you need you can play on him, he’s going to hold the ball, he’s going to give your team the time to go up to take positions to attack. And as well, he’s a player that, when you make all those crosses that were coming inside the box, he is someone who can finish it and who has a big presence, and it impacted a lot the plan of the game today.”
