North Africa to target PSL star but how will Kaizer Chiefs benefit.

The race for Sekhukhune United’s Andy Boyeli is heating up, and North African powerhouse Pyramids FC has emerged as the frontrunner. This publication has learned that the Egyptian club is actively monitoring the Congolese striker, with a potential transfer on the horizon. This move could have significant implications for Chiefs’ pursuit of their primary attacking target.

A source close to both Sekhukhune United and Boyeli have confirmed Pyramids FC’s keen interest. The club views Boyeli as a viable replacement for Fiston Mayele, who has been heavily linked with an exit at the end of the season.

“It’s believed that Pyramids are preparing for the possibility of another striker as Mayele could be leaving at the end of the season, and they believe Andy (Boyeli) could be the right replacement. They have enquired about him, and it’s now all up to Sekhukhune United to decide about the offer or the move. But Pyramids are believed to be interested in him,” the source revealed.

How this transfer could help Chiefs

Boyeli’s departure from the PSL could directly benefit Kaizer Chiefs. If Pyramids FC secures his signature, it would free up the path for Amakhosi to push for Mayele, who has long been on their radar.

With Chiefs in desperate need of a prolific goal-scorer, this situation could play perfectly into their plans, allowing them to aggressively pursue Mayele without competition from the Egyptian club.

Sekhukhune preparing for life after Boyeli

Sekhukhune United is already making contingency plans, actively scouting potential replacements for the 23-year-old striker.

“As of now, I can’t say who these strikers are, but the club has already identified possible replacements for Boyeli. In case he leaves for Pyramids in Egypt or any other team that could be interested in him. The team wants to be ready for that,” the source also confirmed.

Boyeli’s rise and Chiefs’ interest

Boyeli has made a strong impact in his debut Betway Premiership season, catching the attention of multiple clubs. Before joining Sekhukhune from Power Dynamos, he was reportedly a target for Chiefs. With his latest links to Pyramids FC, speculation continues over whether Amakhosi could reignite their interest in him as a plan B to Mayele.

With the transfer window approaching, all eyes are on Boyeli’s next move. And how it could reshape the striker market for both Sekhukhune and Chiefs.
