There is a new sense of belief among Kaizer Chiefs fans since Nasreddine Nabi came in. But how does he compare to last season’s coach Molefi Ntseki?

Ntseki started last term as Chiefs head coach after taking over from Arthur Zwane who was demoted by the management.

However, his tenure lasted for a few months as he was forced to leave Chiefs by the supporters before he was let go.

Cavin Johnson then came in on an interim basis but things went from bad to worse under his watchful eye.

He was also let go by Chiefs who then went for Nabi and allowed him to join the club with his own technical team.

The South African compares the first five league games between Nabi and Ntseki…

NABI VS NTSEKI AFTER FIVE LEAGUE GAMES FOR KAIZER CHIEFS

Let’s kick it off with Ntseki during the 2023-24 season as head coach of Chiefs…

Ntseki had won TWO, drawn ONE and lost TWO of his first five league games. That draw (0-0) came in the opening game of the season against Chippa United.

Chiefs then lost two consecutive games to Mamelodi Sundowns (2-1) and TS Galaxy (1-0) where Ntseki had to be escorted by police.

Ntseki’s charges would then redeem themselves with back-to-back wins over AmaZulu (3-0) and Stellenbosch FC (2-0).

Overall, Chiefs had scored six goals and conceded just three with three cleansheets in Ntseki’s first five league games.

Now, to Nabi’s record…

The Tunisian mentor had a promising start to the campaign but his stats are similar to that of Ntseki.

He has won TWO, drawn ONE and lost TWO of his first five league games as Chiefs coach.

Nabi started off with wins over Marumo Gallants (2-1) and AmaZulu (3-1) before losing to Sundowns (2-1) and SuperSport United (1-0).

His last league match was against Magesi FC where Chiefs had to come back from two goals down to force a 2-2 draw.

Overall, Chiefs have scored eight goals, conceded seven with NO cleansheet to their name.
