Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro has voiced his thoughts after his side beat Mamelodi Sundowns to reach the MTN8 final.

The Buccaneers trashed the Brazilians 3-0 in their MTN8 semi-final second leg – and 3-0 on aggregate – to book their place in next month’s final.

Early in the first half Kermit Erasmus haunted his former club when he netted the opener for the visitors before Monnapule Saleng bagged a brace in the second half.

Riveiro, who has reached his first cup final since taking over at Pirates, says they were “super” in front of goal.

“Very happy, we were looking to for our chance to play our first final together, we need to improve also, it’s the first time we played together these type of games,” Riveiro told SuperSport TV as quoted by KickOff.

“These type of exciting knockout games, there’s many things we could even do better in the second half but it’s an outstanding performance from the guys today.

“The way we commit in front of one idea, we do the same things in every game, today our accuracy in front of goal was super, that’s why we’re talking about 3-0. Probably it’s a big result, so this is the way. We know where we want to go, we just need to continue.”
