Khanyisa Mayo flirts with Kaizer Chiefs
Khanyisa Mayo has dropped a Kaizer Chiefs bombshell just a few days after revealing how the Soweto giants missed out on his signature.
CR Belouizdad striker Khanyisa Mayo has not ruled out the possibility of playing for Kaizer Chiefs if ever he thinks of coming back to the PSL.
Mayo moved from Cape Town City to CR Belouizdad during the off-season despite huge interest from Chiefs.
However, it later emerged that Chiefs came with a decent offer an hour after Mayo had signed with CR Belouizdad.
It appears Chiefs had no any other option besides Mayo as they ended not beefing up their striking department.
Now, Mayo dubbed Amakhosi the biggest team in South Africa which would be his first preference if he comes back.
The fact that Mayo’s father, Patrick, played for Chiefs and won trophies, could also swing the pendulum in club’s favour.
Mayo has struggled to settle down at CR Belouizdad, and is yet to find the back of the net since joining the.
KHANYISA MAYO WOULD GIVE KAIZER CHIEFS FIRST PREFERENCE
“Regarding Chiefs, yes, if I ever think about coming back home, they will be my first preference,” Mayo told KickOff.
“It’s the biggest team in South Africa, and my dad played there.
“So, I also see myself representing one of the top teams in the country,” Mayo concluded.
WOULD AMAKHOSI GRAB THAT OPPORTUNITY?
