Kaizer Chiefs winger Keagan Dolly says they have to move on from the 4-0 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns and believes it’s still too early in the season to panic.

Dolly was the Soweto giants’ captain on the day when he faced his former side Masandawana where Amakhosi suffered their record loss.

The former Montpellier Hérault SC man says the more they play, the more they will get used to each other and improve.

‘WE CAN’T KEEP POUNDERING ABOUT THE PAST’ – DOLLY

“It is still early in the season and that was only our third game of the season. I think it is still a long way for us to go,” Dolly said as per KickOff.

“We wouldn’t say coach Arthur is new because we have worked with him before and with some of us in the national teams.

“We know and understand what he needs from us, and you can see in patches of our games that we played well and understand each other but I think we just need to start being consistent and keep doing what we are good at.

“I think the more games we play the better we will get and hopefully we can turn things around again in the game against Richards Bay.

“We cannot keep on pondering about the past.

“The good thing about this season is that we have a good team. We are brothers.

“It is easy for us to talk about it and start focusing on the next game.

“Each and every game that we go into we want to improve and do well for the supporters and ourselves.

Consistency is the word that many have been preaching at Naturena and Dolly also says they have to constantly demonstrate “big team” attributes.

“Kaizer Chiefs is a big team. We need to show it week in and week out.

“At times things won’t go your way because there will be injuries which makes it difficult.

“It is a process, and we need to take each game as it comes,”

Amakhosi will be looking to get back into winning ways when they take on Richards Bay FC on Satuday, 20 August at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Kick-off will be at 20:00.
