Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi has expressed his desire for more attacking and defensive players, albeit splurging in the last two transfer windows.

Richards Bay defender Lwandile Mabuya is on their radar, and Chiefs are willing to offer cash plus a player to secure his services. The 24-year-old right-back has a market value of R4.9 million, per Transfermarkt.

“From what we understand, there could be a player exchange between the two clubs (for Mabuya), mainly Mduduzi Mdantsane,” SoccerLaduma confirmed.

“Yes, Sabelo Radebe could also stay but that could be decided when everything is settled and agreed upon. Now they have to consider the offer Chiefs have tabled Rest then the rest (can happen) including a player exchange could follow.”

More signings to come?

Mabuya isn’t the only Richard’s Bay protagonist Kaizer Chiefs are after as they continue to monitor Orlando Pirates target Yanela Mbuthuma.

“Chiefs are also interested in that Richards Bay striker that Pirates have enquired about before, Yanela Mbuthuma,” SoccerLaduma confirmed.

“For now, it’s just interest from the team. I am not sure if there is anything official yet from Chiefs to talk to Richards Bay. But what I can tell you is that Chiefs are interested in him.”

The dynamic forward has bagged four goals this season, his latest being against Kaizer Chiefs during their shock 2-0 victory over the Soweto giants.
