Kaizer Chiefs transfer alert: Azam open to selling Feisal Salum
Azam has opened the door for a potential transfer of midfield star Salum, with Chiefs and Simba eyeing the talented playmaker.

The Kaizer Chiefs transfer alert is here, as Azam FC are open to selling Feisal Salum.
The Tanzanian club has confirmed its willingness to entertain offers for midfield maestro Salum, who has been heavily linked with a move to Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs. Salum, contracted to Azam FC until June 2026, remains a highly sought-after talent in African football.
Salum, who joined Azam FC from Young Africans in 2023 on a three-year deal, previously played under Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi. The Tunisian tactician has long admired Salum’s playmaking abilities and reportedly wants to reunite with him at Amakhosi in the Betway Premiership.
‘Fei Toto’ shines in Tanzania Premier League
Nicknamed ‘Fei Toto,’ Salum has been a standout performer for Azam FC this season, tallying 12 assists and four goals in the Tanzania Premier League. His vision and creativity in midfield make him a valuable asset for any club looking to strengthen their squad.
Azam FC spokesperson Thabit Zacharia addressed speculation regarding the player’s future, making it clear that while the club values Salum, they will not stand in his way if the right offer comes along.
Azam FC speaks once again
“We expect Feisal to deliver results because we are paying him a lot of money. However, if he decides to leave, that will be his choice. We are not stopping him from leaving,” Zacharia stated.
“We have no plans to let Feisal go. But if a team makes an offer that meets our expectations, we will not stand in his way. However, as of now, we have not received any offers from any club.”
Simba also in the race for Salum
Kaizer Chiefs aren’t the only club eyeing the 27-year-old midfield maestro. Tanzanian powerhouse Simba SC has also shown interest in securing his signature. However, Zacharia insists that no formal discussions have taken place with any club regarding Salum’s transfer.
As speculation around his future grows, Salum remains focused on his national duties. The Taifa Stars midfielder is set to represent Tanzania in a crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Morocco on Tuesday. His performance in this high-stakes match could further elevate his value in the transfer market.
Will Kaizer Chiefs make a formal bid for Salum, or will Simba SC swoop in to secure the deal? With the transfer window approaching, all eyes are on the talented playmaker’s next move.
