Kaizer Chiefs now targeting FOUR Stellenbosch players

The latest rumours indicate that Kaizer Chiefs have added another Stellenbosch player to their most wanted list in January.

The focus shifts to Moloisane

According to Soccer Laduma, 25-year-old central defender Thabo Moloisane is the latest Stellenbosch defender being courted by Kaizer Chiefs. His contract expires in June 2025. Another star impressing for Stellies is Sihle Nduli, a midfield maestro likened to the great Andrea Pirlo. Read more via The South African’s Siseko Gwegwe.

Basadien is still a target

Kaizer Chiefs will return to Stellenbosch with an improved offer for left-back Fawaaz Basadien, according to Soccer Laduma. Chiefs’ initial offer was around the R10 million mark but now they’re ready to get a deal done a little closer to R13 million.

“They have now offered a new and improved amount of around R13 million. It’s not clear whether that’s what Stellies are looking for because they turned down R10 million at first. The club is interested in Basadien and they are doing all in their powers to have him but you know it will all depend if the new offer of about R13 million is good enough for Stellenbosch,” said a source.

Chiefs must wait to sign Toure

During the winter window, Kaizer Chiefs joined Pirates in the reported race to sign Stellenbosch central defender Ismael Toure. iDiski Times, however, believe the Winelands club are set on selling to a foreign suitor. The 26-year-old Ivorian has become a key component of the ever-improving team.

“Toure has emerged as a potential target for Orlando Pirates in the off-season. But sources indicate the club and the player’s first preference is to move to Europe. Stellies have not hidden their desire to try and facilitate more moves for players abroad while also securing healthy profits for their investments,” the iDiski Times source said.
