Kaizer Chiefs still keen to offload out of favour experienced attacker
Kaizer Chiefs have released five players so far this transfer window, with more earmarked to leave, including an experienced campaigner
Kaizer Chiefs are looking to continue their squad rebuild ahead of next season, with more ins and outs expected.
Chiefs have signed three players thus far, with Gaston Sirino expected to be the fourth through the door.
Chiefs reinforce with four signings
It has only been defensive additions so far though, with only defensively orientated signings brought in. As it stands, Chiefs have signed the trio of Bongani Sam, Fiacre Ntwari and Rushwin Dortley. So far, it has only been the latter that has been unveiled by Amakhosi, this ahead of their 4-0 loss to Yanga SC. Neither of them did come on though, and had to watch the Toyota Cup loss to the Tanzanian giant. Sam is the only one of the trio who joined early enough to go to Turkey with the squad.
In terms of outgoings Keagan Dolly, Njabulo Ngcobo, Siyethemba Sithebe, Sifiso Hlanti and Jasond Gonzalez have left. Players such as Mduduzi Mdantsane and Tebogo Potsane are also thought to be at a crossroads at Chiefs. One other player that was mentioned in the same breath earlier last season is defender Zitha Kwinika.
Now according to Soccer-Laduma, Chiefs are looking to send experienced attacker Mduduzi Mdantsane on loan.
“The Siya crew has been led to believe that Kaizer Chiefs are expected to go ahead with their plans to loan out a player, though there is a bit of a challenge. Indications are that midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane is not part of the technical team’s plans going into the new season and there is a chance of him being sent out on loan at some point this season, though an injury could have an effect on whether or not a move happens in the current window or in January. The transfer window is expected to close in September, a week after the start of the new season, so a move has not been ruled out as yet for the player.
Chiefs looking to offload Mdantsane
The Siya crew understands that the challenge Amakhosi are facing at the moment is that there are no clubs making an effort to have the player on board.” Wrote the publication.
Chiefs are reportedly also open to letting Mdantsane go on a permanent deal! Amakhosi fans, is this the right decision? Or should he get another chance under coach Nasreddine Nabi? Feel free to leave your thoughts and feelings below.
