Kaizer Chiefs snap up veteran striker but’s he’s already suspended!
Good signing?

Kaizer Chiefs have officially signed a veteran striker but he’ll be suspended for two matches right from the start of his Amakhosi career.
Chiefs sign Tashreeq Morris
Via SABCSport:
30-year-old Tashreeq Morris arrived at SuperSport in October to replace Bradley Grobler who sustained an unfortunate long-term injury. Morris, formerly of Cape Town City, was a free agent after leaving Sekhukhune before being snapped up by Matsatsantsa. He picked up a red card in his final game for SuperSport so will be suspended for his first two Chiefs matches. That is if he passes a customary medical.
The club have also submitted a proposal offer for Polokwane and Bafana winger Oswin Appollis.

Injury update from Naturena
Ashley du Preez, Edson Castillo and Gaston Sirino will all miss Chiefs’ match against Sekhukhune on Saturday 19 January. Meanwhile, star 22-year-old defender Rushwin Dortley is a major doubt.
“Ashley this week won’t be with us, and I can’t say when he will be fit as we are still waiting for the report from the medical team about his state,” Chiefs assistant coach Youssef told FARPost.
“We have a player that has a fracture, Castillo. Sirino is also out. Dortley, you know, when he came back from the national team, Bafana Bafana, he returned with an injury. So we are trying to manage and protest him. For this game [Sekhukhune], we don’t know yet if he will be with us or not. We are still waiting for the medical report.”

Mdu’s Pirates secret
20-year-old Kaizer Chiefs attacker Mduduzi Shabalala revealed he grew up supporting Orlando Pirates but says now he will “die a Chiefs fan”.
The Amakhosi youth development talent is already a part of the furniture at the club. ‘Mdu’, as he is affectionately known, worshipped Thembinkosi Lorch when growing up in an all-Pirates household. With Lorch having moved on to Sundowns, there’s space in the fixture for another star to make a name for himself in South Africa’s premier club fixture.
Are you happy with the arrival of Morris or is he an underwhelming signing?
