Kaizer Chiefs are preparing for another big offseason. The Soweto giants are linked with several stars. They play Cape Town City next.

Kaizer Chiefs are eagerly eyeing top talent for the offseason as Nasreddine Nabi continues his in-house demolition.

Following ten signings last winter, another crop arrived in the summer, the most impactful being Congolese forward Makabi Lilepo, who picked up the Man of the Match award in AmaKhosi’s last league outing against Magesi.

But, as Nabi continues to strip Kaizer Chiefs of former players, there is growing uncertainty surrounding his future at the club, with several club executives reportedly losing patience with the Tunisian as he fails to find consistency.

“It’s getting hard and tougher for the management team now,” SoccerLaduma reported

“It’s believed that they thought by now the results would have started to show as the coach came with high expectations, but things are not working according to plan,

“Apparently, that’s what is not making them happy. They don’t just want the team to play well. No. They want results and so far they have lost to the all so-called big teams,” the publication reported.

The Soweto giants are still lightyears behind frontrunners Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, positioned eighth on the log, eleven points behind the Buccaneers and twenty-seven adrift from the reigning champions.

Salum inbound?

Tanzanian international Feisal Salum is on the top of Nabi’s offseason wish list. The pair shared two illustrious years at Young Africans, winning the league title, along with the FAT Cup, in both seasons.

The 27-year-old playmaker has declined Azam FC’s contract extension, further fuelling speculation of a reunion in the winter.

“Feisal Salum has made his decision and informed the club that he will not extend his contract,” Africafoot.com reported.

“He is enjoying his experience at Azam, a big club, but he wants to explore new opportunities at the end of the season,

“A move to Kaizer Chiefs? It is still too early to say for sure, but it is a very serious possibility.”

Should Kaizer Chiefs fire Nabi?
