Reports: Kaizer Chiefs monitor silky Swallows midfielder

Kaizer Chiefs fans would love this player: A fully technical attacking midfielder. This report says Amakhosi are creating a possible deal.

Kaizer Chiefs fans always enjoy a technical midfielder who can play as an eight or number 10. This is what Swallows FC’s Lehlogohonolo George Matlou is about.

KAIZER CHIEFS TO SIGN SWALLOWS MIDFIELDER?

According to Soccer Laduma, Amakhosi are reportedly showing interest in Swallows’ 23-year-old midfield star Matlou.

So who is he? The Soweto-born star was tuned at the Bidvest Wits academy before he was signed by Roger de Sa at Cape Umoya in the GladAfrica Championship

Matlou soon moved to Europe to play his football for Sanjoanense in Portugal before returning to Mzansi to sign for Swallows this season.

The 23-year-old enjoyed regular game-time under Brandon Truter before he lost his place upon the arrival of Dylan Kerr at the Birds.

Kaizer Chiefs are monitoring the situation of Swallows FC midfielder George Matlou,” Soccer Laduma reported in their latest issue.

“Siya sources in the know have confirmed that Amakhosi have also earmarked Matlou as a possible acquisition and have made informal inquiries about his services.”

Having a close look at the two Soweto clubs’ businesss relationship, we expect the possible Matlou deal to materialise.

Just from the recent transfer window season, Kaizer Chiefs and Swallows agreed on deals for Sifiso Hlanti, Njabulo Ngcobo and Kgaogelo Sekgota. While the likes of Yagan Sasman and Given Thibedi went to the Birds.
