Kaizer Chiefs news: Oswin Appollis, Fiston Mayele, Feisal Salum
Kaizer Chiefs are expected to go big in this January transfer window. Who do you think the Soweto side should sign?
Kaizer Chiefs are hoping to lure several stars this January transfer window.
The Glamour Boys have had a tumultuous start to the season under new coach Nasreddine Nabi, who is already being linked with clubs abroad.
Following their worst season in history, finishing a damning tenth, AmaKhosi fans had a renewed sense of optimism following seven signings during the offseason, including PSL champion Gaston Sirino and Inacio Miguel, as well as the hiring of Nabi, one of Africa’s highest-rated coaches.
Kaizer Chiefs showed glimmers of hope, winning their opening two league games but have since struggled to accumulate three points as Ranga Chivaviro’s poor form continues.
The upcoming January transfer window is the last chance for the Chiefs to upgrade their squad before the season concludes, and it appears they’re in for another big haul, linked with over R50 million worth of transfers.
AmaKhosi want superstars
- Oswin Appollis is a top target of Kaizer Chiefs, who nearly signed during the winter. The 23-year-old, who will cost around R15 million, also has Orlando Pirates gunning for his signature.
- Pyramids FC striker Fiston Mayele – valued at approximately R22.5 million – is another player Chiefs hope to sign this January.
- Kaizer Chiefs are keen on Tanzanian international Fiesal Salum and are reportedly willing to match his R13 million price tag and R220,000-per-week salary.
