Who saw this coming? Former Kaizer Chiefs attacker Lebogang Manyama has moved to Cape Town City.
CAPE TOWN CITY APPOINT FORMER KAIZER CHIEFS STAR LEBOGANG MANYAMA
Following his injury-enforced retirement in June 2023 at the age of 32, Manyama has been appointed as Eric Tinkler’s assistant coach.

The news was announced by the Citizens on Tuesday morning.
“Cape Town City are delighted to confirm the appointment of former club captain Lebogang Manyama as an assistant coach in Eric Tinkler’s technical team. Welcome home, Lebza!,” the club said.

“I’m delighted to join this technical team. I have so many great memories here with coach Eric, and I always said I will be back one day to add more success. This club is home to me,” the Tembisa-born star who was raised in Alexandra said.

PLAYING CAREER
Manyama kicked off his career at Alexandra United before moving on to Ajax Cape Town, SuperSport United, Mpumalanga Black Aces, Cape Town City, Konyaspor (Turkey) and Chiefs.
His personal accolades include two Telkom Knockout titles and the league’s top goalscorer award during his debut season with City.
