Kaizer Chiefs already have one eye on the next transfer window and lead a PSL rival in the chase for a topflight star
Kaizer Chiefs are continuing to plan for next season, with a recruitment plan already being put in place.

Out of that 10, one was the signing of a goalkeeper by the name Fiacre Ntwari. The Rwandan international joined Chiefs after spending just the solitary season with TS Galaxy in the 2023/24 campaign. Upon being signed, there were high hopes of him being the Amakhosi number one for the long run. This after the club had just released long-serving veteran Itumeleng Khune. Furthermore, his deputies in recent years, Bruce Bvuma and Brandon Pietersen had failed to step up.

Subsequent to that, Bvuma ended up usurping Ntwari as Chiefs number one, after a shaky start to life at Naturena. Now according to Soccer-Laduma, Amakhosi could be back in the market for another goalkeeper. Their search this time, taking them to Royal AM star Xolani Ngcobo, but face competition from SuperSport United for his services.
“You know SuperSport United have only two other senior team goalkeepers in Thakasani Mbanjwa and Samkelo Xulu? Ricardo Goss is on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns so that’s why they are inquiring about Xolani (Ngcobo alongside Chiefs) from Royal AM. They don’t know maybe Sundowns will recall Goss so they don’t want to be caught off guard and they are monitoring Royal AM’s situation regarding goalkeeper Ngcobo with the aim to sign him next season,” said the source.
A second source confirmed that Chiefs lead SuperSport in the race for Ngcobo.
“For now the main holding thing is the situation at Royal AM. Even if players want to move on, it’s difficult with the issue of the curatorship but Chiefs are in the forefront in the pursuit of Ngcobo. However it will all depend what the situation is at the end of the season as SuperSport United are also inquiring about him,” said the source.
