Kaizer Chiefs dealt huge blow in Keletso Makgalwa transfer!
Kaizer Chiefs might have to wait a little bit longer to secure the signature of former Mamelodi Sundowns star Keletso Makgalwa
Kaizer Chiefs have seemingly hit a stumbling block in their pursuit of Keletso Makgalwa according to the latest reports.

Shock reports emerged out of nowhere on Monday, claiming Chiefs are close to signing Makgalwa from Upington FC.

It was claimed the 27-year-old was set to be a Chiefs player at the end of the week. That got plenty of Amakhosi supporters excited at the prospects of yet another attacker joining their club. Now that level of optimism has since been dampened by Makgalwa’s agent who claims he is not for sale.
Chiefs to lose out on Makgalwa this window?
“It would be an injustice for us to move Keletso (Makgalwa) now. We need to appreciate what the club (Upington) has done, to give him an opportunity when no one wanted to give him a chance. He is focusing on helping the club gain promotion and then we will decide at the end of the season what’s on the table,” said agent Ntobatsi Masegela to KickOff.com

This would be an interesting deal from Chiefs because they already have plenty of options in the wide areas. They have signed the likes of Pule Mmodi and Tebogo Potsane to compete with Keagan Dolly, Ashley du Preez, Mduduzi Shabalala and Christian Saile to name but a few. For many, it is clear that Amakhosi need an option upfront as their strikers have not had the desired effect. Makgalwa does not seem to fit that mould.
Player on form for Upington
Makgalwa is, however, on form having scored four goals and registered three assists in 10 games so far in the second tier. In a Chiefs team that fails to both create and score, the temptation is, perhaps understandable. In the final weeks of 2023, however, Amakhosi welcomed back du Preez and Potsane. On top of that, it is expected that Dolly will return when the league resumes in mid-February.
