Kaizer Chiefs have added some firepower to their squad. How could the strongest new starting XI look with new names?

Strongest Kaizer Chiefs XI available to Nabi?

Ntwari; Blom, Miguel, Dortley, Cross; Mthethwa, Cele; Lilepo, Shabalala, Sirino; Duba.

Having the technical security of midfielder Njabulo Blom at right-back makes Chiefs play more narrowly. However, it also allows them to control more of the possession. Youngsters Mduduzi Shabalala and Wandile Diba have made themselves indispensable members of the side so other pieces of the puzzle must be moved around them. At R9.6 million, new boy Glody Lilepo will be expected to start straight away to make a return on that investment in his services.

Chiefs promote Hlongwane, hand his jersey 35

Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly handed a three-year contract to teenage DDC striker Naledi Hlongwane. Big things are expected from yet another of Chiefs’ talented youth products. He’ll soon be knocking on he door of the first team.

“What I can tell you now is that the promotion process is as good as done. They have already allocated jersey number 35 to him and he travelled with the team to Durban for the game against Sekhukhune United. He was supposed to have played the game but they changed their mind at the last minute,” the SL source stated on SoccerLaduma.

Chiefs target experienced Brazilian star

According to Soccer Laduma, 32-year-old Brazilian star Pablo is on Chiefs’ radar after leaving Club Athletico Paranaense in December.

“The player’s name is Pablo Felipe Teixeira, and he is keen on a move to PSL,” the source told the outlet. “He is a good player who can fit in at any of the big clubs in the PSL. Attempts have been made to let big clubs such as Chiefs, Pirates and Sundowns aware of the player’s availability and, his camp will take it from there even if it will be for the next transfer window,” the source added.

Pablo is relatively productive in the final third, notching 11 goals and two assists in 53 games during the 2023-2024 campaign. Overall he has 49 goals and 12 assists from 249 appearances in Brazil’s top flight.
