Mabiliso parted ways with Chiefs by mutual consent just over a year after joining them with high expectations from AmaZulu.
The 23-year-old left-footed player left having featured just six times for Chiefs as competition for places appeared to be very stiff.

Now, according to Mabiliso’s agent Basia Michaels, AmaZulu have, so far, shown huge interest in re-signing the player this season.
However, Michaels revealed that the first step towards that was to mend the relationship between Mabiliso and AmaZulu president Sandile Zungu.

And that’s because of the manner in which Mabiliso left AmaZulu for Chiefs over a year ago – the defender had joined Amakhosi on a free transfer.
While AmaZulu are stong favourites to sign Mabiliso, Michaels said they are not the only team that is interested in his services.

As a result, Mabiliso’s camp at QT Sports is willing to consider all the other offers before committing to one team.

“AmaZulu are the frontrunners. After consultations, we have repaired the relationship between the president [Zungu] and the player, with the president saying, post our meeting and certain conversations, this is where we find ourselves because things were previously done erroneously,” Michaels told SABC Sport.
“There are other offers, so we are in the process of looking at all offers. Over and above that, we are more so in the process of ensuring that we make the right decision because S’bu is young enough for us to have great longevity with his future, and ensure that we move forward in harmony and happiness post everything that has happened,” added Michaels.
