‘I don’t see Kaizer Chiefs finishing in the top 4’ – ex-Bafana star
Former Bafana Bafana striker Katlego Mphela says Kaizer Chiefs need to push in order to finish the season on a high.

Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana striker Katlego Mphela says Kaizer Chiefs lacks leadership this season.
After 22 league matches, Amakhosi sit eighth in the Betway Premiership. Despite bringing Nasreddine Nabi and his team this season, the Glamour Boys have not made significant gains they would have liked. Mphela, who played for the club, believes Kaizer Chiefs are still missing retired Bafana keeper Itumeleng Khune.
The former SA number one keeper left Amakhosi last seasona after the club opted not to renew his contract. “I also think the leadership is not enough at Kaizer Chiefs,” Mphela told iDiski Times.
“When you have someone like [Itumeleng] Khune that leaves the club, a big personality, an important member of the squad, you need to replace him with the same quality or someone who’s going to step in and have those leadership qualities.
Ex-Bafana striker says Kaizer Chiefs need to push in the final stages of the season
“So, for them, I think that’s a problem, but they need to push this season and see where they end up.
“But obviously they’ll want to be in the top four, so hopefully, they get there, but with the inconsistency, I don’t see them even reaching the top four,” Mphela said.
The last time Kaizer Chiefs win a trophy, the former Bafana Bafana star was in that team 10 years ago. Amakhosi are still in the Nedbank Cup and might end their drought in the coming weeks if they claim the title.
Do you think Chiefs will finish in the top four or faul to crack the top 8 once again?
