Kaizer Chiefs fans want to face Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals.

Both Soweto giants reached the last eight of the competition with ease following their respective wins. Amakhosi despatched Chippa United from the Nedbank Cup at the FNB stadium on Saturday in their Round of 16 tie.

Chiefs and Pirates might meet once again in cup competition

A first half beauty from Gaston Sirino set the tone and two second half strikes from Inacio Miguel and Pule Mmodi respectively underlined Amakhosi’s dominance over the 90 minutes.

Orlando Pirates on the otherhand, reached the last eight by beating Baroka 3-1 thanks to Tshegofatso Mabasa’s hat-trick.

After both teams reached Nedbank Cup quarters, some Chiefs fans took to social media to demand a rematch agaist their rivals Pirates. The two big teams met earlier this month with the Buccaneers claiming a 1-0 win following a late penalty. Many Khosi fans felt robbed and are eager to face their Soweto rivals once more.

“Please give us Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates same time it’s clearly not safe to face us with one team. We want sundowns first half and Pirates second half.” Chiefs fan @YawehorNoway tweeted.

“That was a much needed goal. At least we are through to the quarter finals, Hope they give us a serious team like Pirates because that’s when we play good football,” tweeted @TalentNyonie.
