Exiled Kaizer Chiefs midfielder spills the tea
Mdantsane could still return.

Mduduzi Mdantsane has opened up on why he left Kaizer Chiefs on loan to Betway Premiership strugglers Richards Bay.
Mdantsane’s Chiefs career hasn’t panned out as planned
After a big-money move from Cape Town City, injuries and a lack of form limited Mdantsane’s in the first team. KickOff.com have revealed the playmaker’s reasons for leaving to Richards Bay on loan. The former Cape Town City star only managed 16 appearances, two assists and zero goals for the Glamour Boys since joining in July 2023.
“Not everything will happen the way you wish, some things happen unexpectedly. I’m a professional player, I understand the situation. I can give the supporters all I have, but the situation they are in there is pressure. I want to regain my energy so when I come back, I come back with energy. I come from a very difficult situation. They (Chiefs) wouldn’t risk and put me under the pressure they are under already. So, it’s important that I go to start afresh and uplift my level. That’s the agreement,” Mdantsane said.
Chiefs ramp up efforts to sign Mabuya
According to Soccer-Laduma, Amakhosi are preparing an offer for Richards Bay right-back Lwandile Mabuya. Currently, Chiefs have Reeve Frosler and Dillan Solomons as their current options for that position. However, loanee Njabulo Blom has often been preferred there despite the former St Louis City player being a midfielder.
When is Golden Arrows vs Kaizer Chiefs?
Chiefs fell to a dreadful 2-0 defeat at Richards Bay. It was a result that left them in eighth place in the Betway Premiership with 29 points after 22 games. Ninth-placed Chippa can usurp Chiefs for that position if they win their two games in hand. Meanwhile, Golden Arrows in tenth have three games in hand on Amakhosi and only trail them by five points. It’s not unthinkable to suggest that Arrows could leapfrog their more illustrious rivals by the end of 2024-2025. Knox Mutizwa was the only goal-scorer as Arrows claimed a slender 1-0 win away to Polokwane but they followed that with a 1-0 loss at Magesi. Intriguingly, Abafana Bes’thende hosts Chiefs on March 30th at 15:30. That looks like a pivotal clash in the race for a top-eight finish.

Will Mdantsane return to Chiefs and make an impact next season?
