Ex-Chiefs coach hypes Orlando Pirates star for Europe move
Former Kaizer Chiefs Academy head coach Farouk Khan says Tito moving to Europe won’t only benefit Orlando Pirates but the whole country.
Former Kaizer Chiefs Academy head coach Farouk Khan believes Orlando Pirates star ‘Tito’ Maswanganyi is ready to play in Europe.
The 26-year-old has been one of the Buccaneers‘ best players since he joined the club from SuperSport United last year. Although he is yet to find the back of the net in the Betway Premiership, Tito has been impressive in the middle of the park for the Sea Robbers.
His mentor at Stars of Africa Academy, Farouk Khan said the Orlando Pirates creative attacker was ready to play in Europe.
“I can tell you now Tito is ready for Europe. Even himself as a player, he really wants to play there. You know if Pirates can allow him to go then it won’t benefit only Pirates from the sale but also the player himself and the country. He could have stayed longer in Portugal but he was impatient that time,” Khan told SNL24.
Khan has coached Orlando Pirates star before he left for Europe
Before joining SuperSport United, Tito was playing in Portugal. Khan believes the Orlando Pirates creative attacker can still make it overseas. His form at club level has earned him a few Bafana Bafana caps.
“You know many players from Brazil, Argentina, and most other African countries use Portugal as a springboard to bigger leagues in Europe and he could have been patient then things could have worked out for him that time. But nothing is lost. He can still go now and make it big. He is ready for Europe,” Khan on Orlando Pirates star Tito Maswanganyi.
