BREAKING: Kaizer Chiefs secure R10m international forward!
With Kaizer Chiefs on the verge of signing Tashreeq Morris, they have now reached an agreement with player and club for a R9.6m forward to join this week!
Kaizer Chiefs look to be moving quickly in the transfer window, with two deals set to wrapped up soon!
Last week this publication reported that Chiefs were set to sign Tashreeq Morris from SuperSport United in a swap deal.
Chiefs looking to revamp attack
The other side of the swap season DRC forward Christian Saile leave Chiefs to take up Morris’ place at SuperSport. Now last week, it was also reported that Amakhosi were not finished bolstering their frontline. It was said that they were chasing the services of another DRC international in Glody Lilepo.
Lilepo currently turns out for French Ligue 3 side Valenciennes FC, it was thought he was put for sale. This due to the side needing to raise funds and they see the winger as an asset they can afford to cash in on. After putting up a fee of €500,000 (R9.6 million), Chiefs entered the conversation willing to stump the cash up. It was then believed that the player was going to reject the chance to join the Glamour Boys. This due to his desire to stay in Europe.
But now according to FARPost, Chiefs have reached an agreement with Valenciennes for Lilepo. It is believed that player himself has a pre-agreement with Amakhosi!
Reach agreement to sign Lilepo!
“Betway Premiership side Kaizer Chiefs have bolstered their attacking ranks with the signing of Congolese winger Glody Makabi Lilepo. Following days of speculation, FARPost can reveal that Chiefs have reached an agreement with Lilepo’s French third-tier side, Valenciennes FC, for a transfer fee believed to be around €500,000 [R9.6 million]. The player has signed a pre-agreement with the South African giants and is set to join the club pending a successful medical. Lilepo is expected to arrive in South Africa in the coming days to finalise his move to the 2014/15 Premiership champions.” Wrote the publication.
