Jose Riveiro to replace Rulani Mokwena after Orlando Pirates?
Jose Riveiro is set to depart from Orlando Pirates after the current campaign but will his next destination lead him to replacing a former Buccaneers coach?

Jose Riveiro is set to leave Orlando Pirates at the end of the season after three years at the club.
With that being said, it looks as if Riveiro could be replacing a former Pirates coach as his next assignment.
Riveiro has won five trophies at Pirates
During his tenure so far, Riveiro has helped Pirates win five trophies. Three MTN8 titles in a row as well as back to back Nedbank Cup titles. Furthermore, his side is still in it with a chance of making it three Nedbank Cup titles in a row as well, this season. Beyond that, he is currently leading the Buccaneers into second place in the Betway Premiership as it stands. Beyond local boarders, he ensured qualification for the side, into the group stages of the CAF Champions League. After doing so for the first time since 2018, they finished top of their group and unbeaten.
None of that seems to have gone unnoticed and as his star has continued to rise, so has interest. It is believed that, while there are no news on a contract renewal for Riveiro at Pirates, he could be set to stay in Africa. According to KickOff.com. he could replace Rulani Mokwena at Wydad Casablanca!
Heading to Wydad next?
“According to reports from Morocco, Wydad Athletic Club have been offered the chance to sign Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro amid the exit rumours regarding Rulani Mokwena. According to North African outlet 365Scores.com, an intermediary has offered the Wydad management the opportunity to replace Mokwena with Riveiro at the end of the domestic campaign. The Spaniard recently confirmed that he will leave the Buccaneers when his contract expires at the end of the season. The report adds that Riveiro’s salary is believed to be significantly lower than Mokwena’s, and the Moroccan giants are currently working towards parting ways with their coach by mutual consent.” Wrote the report from the publication.
