Sundra Govinder has taken over from Aschwin Sutton who was only appointed at the start of the season.

Sutton was in charge of seven matches at Casric Stars, and he left them lying eighth on the log with eight points.

Now, Govinder takes over as the new man at the helm, and thus, vacating his position as the club’s Performance Coach.

According to a statement released by Casric Stars, Govinder will be assisted by former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Thabo Nthethe.

GOVINDER IS AN EXPERIENCE PROFESSIONAL BUT NOT AS FIRST TEAM COACH
While Govinder may be an experienced professional, this will be his first biggest job as a head coach.

He worked at Chiefs for years as a Performance Coach before being appointed as their Head of Youth Development.

However, Govinder left that position in 2019,and only resurfaced at Casric Stars in 2022.
