This past weekend, the Stormers moved one step closer to possibly defending their United Rugby Championship title after booking their second successive home semi-final in the competition.

The Cape side achieved yet another victory over the Bulls at the DHL Stadium, and during one memorable off-field moment during the encounter, the camera panned to Siya Kolisi sitting in the stands.

The Springbok captain is currently recovering from knee surgery, and as the crowd caught sight of him on the big screen, the reaction was immensely wholesome as the crowed went wild – drawing a warm smile from Kolisi.

Kolisi is of course one of the Stormers’ favourite sons, having played in the Cape for the better part of a decade between 2010 and 2020.

Saturday’s crowd in Cape Town also reserved a special cheer for another Stormers legend Schalk Burger, but the roar the reverberated around the stadium when Kolisi appeared was something special.
