Every URC game this weekend! Fixtures, times & dates

The URC kicks-off after a month on the sidelines. Bulls are South Africa’s highest ranked side placed third, one point ahead of the Lions.

The URC will dust off after a one-month break.

Following Springbok’s rampant November tour, overcoming Scotland, England and Wales in their own backyard, players return to club rugby.

South Africa has two teams – Bulls and Lions – in the top four, with Sharks (9th) and Stormers (13th) trailing behind.

Jake White’s side hopes to emulate last season’s success by reaching the final but will hope to go one step further by becoming URC champions.

Words from Corne Krige

Former captain Corne Krige believes Bulls loose forward Cameron Hanekom is next big thing, saying, “That’s Rassie (Erasmus). He is the only one who would choose a loose forward in a fullback’s place and I believe he will definitely want to give Cameron a chance on the tour.

“I am very excited about what he can offer the Springboks, especially with the great focus that is now on attacking rugby. He should fit in very well with that pattern of play.

“What I like about Cameron is that he is quick and has good hands, but is also a good defender and can play to the ground,

“Although he is not a specialist ball chaser, he can steal balls for you. Cameron is also very physical and a dangerous ball carrier. In that respect, he is the ideal loose forward in modern rugby.”
