The defeat was South Africa’s third in 18 matches in Argentina and just their fourth all time against the Pumas.

The Springboks also lost their No 1 World Rugby ranking.
The two sides will do battle once again next Saturday at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit where the tournament title will be decided.
