Former Springbok flyhalf Elton Jantjies dismissed rumours he has homeless by showing off his house in a recent Instagram video

The controversial 34-year-old ex-Boks star trended several weeks ago after reports claimed that he was homeless after being kicked out of the house by his mother. According to The Citizen, the former rugby star had fallen behind on bond payments on his home in Bryanston.

In the video, Elton Jantjies desputed the reports that he was left homeless.

“For the people that said I’m homeless, my mom kicked me out… It’s actually just a joke for me, to take those comments seriously. I see it’s all over the media.

“This has just do with respect, my family, the Jantjies family, my kids, and all the people I represent, from a respect point of view. To the media, those are the people you have to apologise to. You don’t have to apologise to me,” Jantjies said in the video.

Elton Jantjies says his mother did not kick him out

“I’ve got a house. I’m not homeless. My mother didn’t kick me out. I don’t know what the facts are behind all these things.”

Last week, Elton Jantjies lost his celebrity boxing match to fellow former Springbok Lionel Mapoe. In January, the ex-Boks star was banned for four years after positive drug test.

He was found guilty of using the banned substance Clenbuterol, the South African Institute for Drug Free Sport (SAIDS) said.
