Rugby Championship: All Blacks edge Australia in a Test for the ages in Dunedin
Absolutely epic.
The All Blacks edged out Australia 35-29 in what will go down as one of the most epic Test match encounters in the rugby championship on Saturday.
A 78th minuted try from Beuaden Barrett ensured the All Blacks retained the Bledisloe Cup, a trophy they have held since 2003.
Barrett’s second try of the game came just two minutes after Wallabies centre Kurtley Beale had given his side a 29-28 lead.
But the Wallabies were left to rue a wayward goal-kicking performance from flyhalf Bernard Foley, who left nine points on the field with four missed shots at goal at Otago Regional Stadium.
Is that good or bad for the Springboks in the Rugby Championship?
Well, Twitter was beside itself with the match and the armchair experts wasted no time digesting what had happened. Some were more articulate than others.
Odds on Boks beating Wallabies lengthen dramatically I guess but their Odds on beating the Blacks shorten.#Rugbyriddles

Not good news for the Boks to see the Wallabies playing like that. Eish, tough tour ahead!

If the Wallabies keep on playing like they did against the All Blacks, the Springboks could find it very hard to beat them #NZLvAUS

The Boks' trip to Perth looks a bit tougher now. Wallabies should have won that. Missed goal kicks, botched restart so costly.
