The Stormers welcomed Dricus du Plessis to their training facility on Friday, as part of the newly-crowned UFC champion’s belt tour in Cape Town.
Du Plessis is currently on a nationwide belt tour after he became the first South African to be crowned as a UFC champion courtesy of his epic victory over Sean Strickland. And the Stormers were part of the celebrations.

Celebrating his historic middleweight title win against the USA’s Strickland, Dricus du Plessis arrived in Cape Town on Friday as part of his belt tour.
The Stormers were delighted to welcome Du Plessis to their high-performance centre in Bellville, sharing photos on social media of the fighter in the famous blue-and-white hoops, together with Ruhan Nel, Ali Vermaak, Evan Roos, Frans Malherbe as well as Deon Fourie and his wife and child.
