Top jockey Aldo Domeyer fined for celebrating win
The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa has confirmed that at an inquiry jockey Aldo Domeyer was fined for celebrating.
The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa has confirmed that at an inquiry held in Cape Town on Saturday, 21 January 2023, jockey Aldo Domeyer was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.10.

The particulars being that while riding Charles Dickens, he made a celebratory gesture prior to the finish line the Hollywoodbets Grade 1 Cape Guineas at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Racecourse on 17 December 2022.
According to the Sporting Post website, Domeyer pleaded guilty to and was found guilty of the charge.

The Inquiry Board, after considering the evidence presented and mitigating factors, imposed a penalty of a fine of R3 000.
Aldo Domeyer was given the Right of Appeal against the penalty imposed.
